I love this already! The first look has me hooked and wanting more! It takes a special type of historical fiction to get me to want to read it, and this is it! I am getting some vibes from The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo - among other great historical books. I love the Chinese American representation, and that this book is not straight-up realistic, but that it has a twist of magic and fantasy too! My favorite genre! I cannot wait to get my hands on this one!
