I was so excited to see this book arrive at Bookishfirst. I am a big, big fan of the Old Hollywood movies. The movie stars, the premiers, the parties where men wore tuxedos and the women wore long, slinky gowns. When I was a kid, I read all the movie star magazines and fantasized about their lives. They seems like they had no problems whatsoever. Then by the time I became a young adult, I understood what was behind the so-called glamour. I found the casting couches, the drugs use to keep actors/actresses in line and thin, the horrendous treatment of non-white people and the hiding of the "stars" misbehaviors rather disgusting. However, I still love the movies. Especially those old black-and-white ones. I hope I won this book. Fingers and toes crossed
