The author has done a good job setting up an intriguing plot here. Sylvia has given her warning to Marie and removed herself from the story. The reader wonders about Sylvia and the former life she supposedly lived and her connection to Marie. What danger exists for Marie’s unborn son? What was Sylvia’s relationship to Marie in a different life? This one has my interest.
