Lessons About Life When It Seems Frustrating and Stressful
The opening scene definitely sounds realistic; there's a young-ish, two-career married couple whose busy lives with two children and a third one on the way make them frustrated with each other. The mother's career includes counseling a patient named Sylvia who swears she has lived in different time periods. Now, Sylvia is desperately trying to convince Maria that in order for her and her unborn baby to survive an impending disaster, they must follow Sylvia's instructions. This would include leaving behind the other members of her family. The plot of this book quickly becomes more complicated with the death of another of Maria's patients - and it just happens to be someone that Sylvia had warned Dr. Maria Forssmann to avoid. This novel seems to be a good blend of fantasy time travel and realistic contemporary life.
