Interesting Time Travel/Second Chance Novel
"Don’t you see now? It’s important to always do the right thing, even if you have to suffer the consequences."
I found this cover gorgeous, although it definitely gives off more contemporary vibes than sci-fi. I may not be the target audience here, as I am in my 20s and do not have any children at this time. Still, I sat down on the couch, exhausted from a long day and worried about not meeting the deadline for reading this excerpt, and the first chapter drew me in immediately. I am used to reading YA Fantasies, where the only time someone has kids is some unrealistically happy glimpse into the future/epilogue, so this realistic take was refreshing to me.
The twist involving time travel is interesting as well!
