Dolly isn't exactly everyone's favorite person, but is smart and runs the show. She served her time for killing her husband. Now she wants to help women and children that have nowhere to go when released back into society. The other women either met Dolly in prison, or are associated with someone who did. Overall, I enjoyed it, and the twist at the end was definitely unexpected. I didn't realize going into this book that it was part of a series so the beginning was slow and a bit confusing for me. However once I was a few chapters in, it felt like I breezed through the book. This was the second book I have read by Lynda La Plante, and I will look out for more of her books to read in the future.
