I didn’t realize this book was third in a series, so much of the daily for this rating rests heavily on me. I liked the cover and was intrigued by the blurb. After I received the book, I noticed a few things. For starters,I got a trade paperback but the print was smaller than in a mass market. The other thing I noticed was an unending stream of characters all painted in an unflattering light so it was difficult to distinguish one from another. I wanted to like this book but trying to remember who was who became an overwhelming task. It might have been different if I started with the first book, but I just got frustrated and started to not care. I can see where this storyline would translate well to TV.
