Thrilling Triology
"She's Out", third installment in the Dolly Rawlins trilogy by Lynda La Plante, is your typical mystery crime drama. With a storyline just predictable enough to earn it three stars from me, "She's Out" is an okay book. Nothing stellar, but a perfectly fine book to read in an afternoon or two, as it is a fairly short read.
Dolly Rawlins is finally out of the pen, and now she's a woman on a mission. Annnnnd she has lots of bad guys after her, of course. Not just the bad guys from the pen, but also a "bad guy" in the form of a detective who is out to avenge his sister's death -- Detective Mike Withey.
Dolly has the wit to escape all the enemies she's made along the way, but...does she have the strength? And will the diamonds be her downfall?
I wish I had read the prior two books in this series, but I don't think it's 100% necessary. As I said, a perfectly fine read.
