This is the third book in the Widows, Widow's Revenge Trilogy. It is about repeat character Dolly Rawlins who is a woman who has just served a long prison sentence for killing her husband but who is now "out". There is a lot of drama waiting for her on the outside. Her past comes back to haunt her as she is trying to make a new life for herself. It isn't long before she is plotting her next caper.
I finished this book because I felt obligated to finish it and write a review in exchange for receiving the book for free. The plot felt predictable and too convenient. The only surprise came towards the end but even that fell flat for me.The women who were the main characters were two dimensional and uninteresting. I know many people enjoy this type of story and that the first two books were successful and perhaps they will enjoy this one as well. For me....I had to force myself to finish it. It was an effort.
