Meghan Michaels is a nurse and single mom to teen Sienna. She receives a call that Sienna is held hostage and to send money. Meanwhile, she is caring for a patient named Caitlin, who jumped from a bridge and now has a traumatic brain injury. Meghan notices the people who visit Caitlin, and she is curious as something seems to be off. The more she finds out about Caitlin, the more suspicious and frightened she becomes.
