I really enjoy romance novels, and from the premise, I thought this would be a fun read. Unfortunately, I didn't click with the writing style. The authors' proclivity for ending each word in a sentence with a period felt repeatedly jarring to me. These initial chapters just didn't endear me to Abbigail or Sebastian, although the crime/mystery aspect of the novel was intriguing. I do like the bright eye-catching color of the cover.
