I love a good romance. But I'm not sure this one will fit the bill. The romance part of the story was set-up immediately from page one. Then a nice twist was added with the suicide that might be some sort of revenge or plot to dethrone Shark. A couple of things bugged me. First, Abigail is only 22. I get ambition and whatnot, but that's young especially when Sebastian seems like he's probably in his 30s (although that's just a guess). Second, no one drives an F-150 in LA. A super minor detail, but it bugged me. Parking is a nightmare in LA, parking spaces are small, and trucks get crappy gas milage. Doesn't make sense in a city where you spend a lot of time idling in traffic. The larger issue that bugged me is that Sebastian Shark seems to be a total ass with no redeeming qualities (although there was a potential hint of some sort of kindness with his niece's email). Without something redeeming, I find it difficult to root for him. Maybe that's developed further along, but so far, I'm not feeling it. Why be such a dick to everyone, including your own staff?
