Even though Romance is not my genre, this book is kind of a fun foray into that type of book. The contemporary, urban setting is enjoyable, as is the fact that the female protagonist is working hard to be successful rather than being some unrealistically wealthy hot babe. It might take a few paragraphs into chapter two for readers to realize that the first-person point of view switches characters. In some ways it seems that third person omniscient might have been more enjoyable, but that could be mere personal preference or my lack of familiarity with how things work in the Romance genre. Either way, the male stud Shark seems to be a despicable character. The description of his twitching body part made him disgusting... and perhaps that was the desired effect of the co-authors. It will be interesting to see what happens to him.
