Interesting but Not what I was Expecting

I thought that it was an interesting approach to writing a self-help book. I liked how the author clearly stated their intentions for the book at the beginning. However, I did find it kind of hard to get through and it almost felt like reading a textbook. It wasn't my favorite but I would still give it a chance to see if the rest of the book interests me.
