this is the first romance book that i’ve read with asian characters and even though it is a book, i’m glad there’s that representation.

this YA book was a really cute and feel good book! there was plenty of drama going on between hannah and jacob and i enjoyed reading this book because there was still that sense of innocence with the young adults. there was a steamy part in the book, so in my opinion, i don’t think it is suitable for tweens & young teenagers.

this book is about hannah and jacob’s friendship turning into a love story. it starts off with nate breaking up with hannah because nate didn’t think they had a lot in common.

jacob is an actor in a popular k-drama, who hurts his foot and needs time off from acting, so he and his mom & younger sister go back to san diego where hannah’s family is at. jacob and hannah haven’t seen each other for 3 years ever since jacob and his family moved to korea after his dad passed away.

hannah is still hurt from the sudden move. she missed her best friend and feels abandoned, just like she feels abandoned by her sister, who moved to boston for school and just she feels abandoned by her dad, who moved to singapore to make more money for the family.

how does jacob and hannah’s friendship patch up? will hannah ever stop feeling hurt by jacob’s move? when does it become more than just best friends?
