This is a story about identity, forgiveness, and love. I think I would have loved this book as a teenager since I’ve always been a hopeless romantic and this story is for the romantics. Since I’m used to reading adult romance now, I think this felt a little too dramatic for me. It truly felt like Jacob and Hannah were soulmates but I wish we could have seen their relationship develop more. I love the childhood friends to lovers trope but sometimes the story jumps right into the romance without development since there is a history there. I don’t know much about K-pop or K-dramas but I was still able to enjoy this book even though that was a large part of the story. I enjoyed the dual perspectives and Susan Lee is talented at writing lines that portray the deep emotions the characters are feeling. I definitely look forward to reading more from her in the future!
