Ginny Myers Sain is coming back with a new darkly atmospheric paranormal thriller about a seventeen-year-old girl named Avril, who returns to an exclusive camp in Connecticut to uncover the truth of what really happened there. Twelve years ago, her mother's drowning was ruled an accident, but our protagonist has never been convinced that's the case.

The story started creepy and stayed that way all throughout. The theater camp setting was so intriguing and can be found as quite original.

To be honest, thrillers aren't really my thing, so it can be hard for me to engage with the story, however it was quite appealing even though there are weaknesses to the plot itself. For example, the twist will come as no surprise to the reader if they paid attention, since it is apparent very early on, who the murderer is.

The book also killed the realism of the situation, having our main character passing out and having hallucinations in front of people who just ignored her.
