Thank you so much to BookishFirst and Penguin Random House for sending me a free copy of Secrets So Deep! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Release date: September 27th!

I adored Dark and Shallow Lies when it first came out and I still recommend it to everyone who wants to listen to me praise the book. It's one of my favorite YA mystery reads and I was super excited for Secrets So Deep to come out. It did not disappoint!

Avril Kendrick is admitted/approved to be a part of a prestigious theatre camp where years ago her mother had passed away. Avril does not have any memories of what happened before the accident and is looking for answers about her mother and their past.

I love Ginny Myers Sain's use of words and imagery. I constantly felt a connection with Avril and could see what Avril sees and feels what she feels. The writing leaves goosebumps on skin as the story progresses. I love that each chapter has script titles. For example: Act 1, Scene 1.

While reading I got vibes of Swan Lake as Avril and the character she plays begins to blend into one another. There is an eeriness to Secrets So Deep and I absolutely loved every word of it!

I highly recommend if you love A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, Truly, Devious, and Ginny Myers Sain's debut book Dark and Shallow Lies.
