Let me start this off by saying that I'm not really a fan of books that deal with or involve politics, but I wanted to give this one a try. My review and opinion may be a little swayed or biased due to the political aspect of the book.

Saving Paradise is book one in the Pono Hawkins series which takes place in Hawaii. This book does contain a few sex/ sexier scenes, so be warned of that aspect if you're sensitive to it. Main character has a sex addiction, and this is discussed a bit in the book. That topic definitely wont' vibe well for everyone.

I honestly could NOT relate to any of the characters in the book, and that truly made it difficult for me to get into the book or "root" for anyone. The political and corruption speak went over my head and just didn't interest me at all.

One good thing I"ll say is that the author did a fantastic job describing the islands and Hawaii. I felt like I could really SEE the places he was describing.
