While sitting on his surf board, an ex-con bumps into a dead body floating in the surf off Waikiki Beach. Since he knows his past will haunt him, he immediately calls the police and tells his story. Then he gets interested in who the victim was, a reporter, and why anyone would want to kill her. Makes me want to know, too. Also, the Hawaiian backdrop to the story makes it somewhat different from others like this.
