Loved Nikki's strong kick ass opening. Giving the men a dose of what they have inflicted on women and she does it in such a smart way. I also loved that she runs a bookshop by day and I even added a couple to my wish list. Just an all around great book; I wasn't all that bought into the Mob activity, she got a little soft and I think I enjoyed her character a little better kicking ass in a bar. I'm happy the female character is not overly sexualized, the plot is solely devoted to her as a private investigator. The timebox plot in the book worked really well and I think it gave the book a much more intense fast pace element which kept the book far from being slow in spots. I'm excited to continue in the series!
