This was an excellent read with fantastic characterization and a plot that grabbed me by the throat early on and never let go... Lelchuk has created a kick-ass heroine with echoes of some of my favorites (Lizbeth Salander, Jessica Jones) but a wholly original feel, voice, and origin story that makes her a fabulous protagonist - bent but most definitely not broken. The pacing is spot-on perfect, blending character development, plot development, and action into a wholly engaging tale full of just the right amount of misdirection and secrets, revealed/uncovered with a sense of timing that is precision-perfect. I cannot WAIT for more in this series - both to learn more about Nikki and to re-engage in her world of righteous vengeance!
