The first few lines hooked me - I loved the way Nikki sets up her night walking into a bar. The dialog is smart and sassy - reminds me of really good cop shows. I liked her no-nonsense approach and eye for cheating that she displays while playing pool. I like her straight-forwardness and her direct manner.
I think I am going to enjoy meeting Nikki and understanding what makes her tick. This will be a great new series that I can't wait to start reading!!
