Hooked from the first few sentences

I was immediately struck by how much of a clear voice and character Nikki has. Readers can feel as if they know her very quickly, and ergo I am impressed by her strength - she seems very badass!

The impressively descriptive writing made up short, poignant sentences makes for a gripping story opening that I would enjoy reading more of
