I see the value
This book has some beautifully layered language and I've noticed some strong themes already. It seems to read like a combo of Ferrante and My Beautiful Vanessa-in tone, sentence structure, and tone. The writing meanders and the entire first chapter is the MC landing in a Marbella, Spain, a sad and bitter place for her; but in that chapter, we also learn so much about her past and what brings her here, all through tangent storytelling. I think this would be a complex and sometimes laborious read, but I'm intrigued by the political nods, historical elements, and strong opinions of the MC that come through in her monologues.
