First off this book is part of a series so the ending left off on a cliffhanger.
Savage Legion was a book that was hard to get into right off the bat. I didn't mind the world building as much as I felt that I was expected to know what this world was already at the beginning and I wasn't hooked. I had a hard time following Lexi's story line the most at first but by I hung in there and it was great but a little long. This book is full of epic battles, gory story line, an utopia/empire type lands and some great characters.
I enjoyed the drawing of the land in the front of the book and found myself going back to it in several parts to figure out where battles were taking place. It was hard to track some of the locations but each section was detailed in the most vivid and extraordinary ways. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Game of Thrones type books as it doesn't disappoint.
