I just wasn't all that impressed by Matt Wallace's "Savage Legion" as I thought I would be. I was so excited to get the book, but as I read it my attention waned. The storyline was alright but not incredibly gripping. I think what bugged me the most what the character development. It just didn't work for me. It seemed too generic and surface. Additionally, the whole premise of the work- as I delved more into it- really bothered me. It just didn't sit right. On more than one occasion I put the novel down because I just wasn't connecting with it and it irritated me; however, I knew I'd committed to reading it so I pressed on.
Perhaps this is a text that others will gravitate towards. I don't make assumptions about what someone else may or may not like. All I can say is that "Savage Legion" just wasn't for me. I am not even sure I'd go so far as to recommend people check it out to see for themselves because that's how unimpressed I was by it.
