If you like a well-portrayed fantasy novel then pick this awesome fantasy with great world building, strong characters and political wars up. I found Evie to be a strong, capable woman. I tend to lean to stories that have a main kick ass woman as the main character and I think the author did an awesome job portraying that. I also like the fact that the entire cast was female-led. Woman Power! I would have like a more personable interaction with the characters. I felt like I wasn't as deeply emotionally involved with the characters like I should be. It seemed like the author barely scrubbed the first layer into the characters emotions. I am curious to see how the political and economic advances improve in the next part of this series. I will definitely be picking the sequel up.
