First impressions of the book are that there's a solid hook to engage the reader and a high level of attention to detail with sufficient descriptions to allow the reader to paint a mental picture without innundating the reader with an excessive amount of unnecessary detail. The author walks the line nicely. So nicely that I used up my points to make sure this one heads my way.
