This looks like it will be a really interesting fantasy book. The setting is described so vividly and sounds so unique (Insects mating in lantern to light the night??). Lexi is a tough, smart and independent woman ready to fight for what she believes in. Having a non-binary character, Taru, is a really great modern addition and it seems like Tarun is not the only non-binary character. The author does a great job of setting up the basis for the tension and battle we are going to see.
