This isn't the typical book that I would pick up but I ended up enjoying it overall. It did take a bit for the story to get moving and the beginning was a bit of a drag however once the action started it never really slowed down. Tom Buckingham is a member of an elite military squad, the SAS, who are in search of a terrorist hiding in England. Tom's girlfriend is leaving him and he follows her onto the Eurostar train to France only to find the terrorist is also aboard. What happens next is a showdown between terrorists who want revenge and the people trying to stop them. I did find the politics in the story a bit hard to follow and there was a lot of detail that felt like it was setting up the remainder of the series rather than important to this story. Also, this book was originally published in the UK in 2012 but is now being reissued in the US. It definitely has similarities to a Tom Clancy novel in terms of content but it was worth the read.
