The cover did not pull me in and neither did the story. It all seemed very formulaic. One underdog saving the world and his girl. Yeah, got it. I know many people love this premise, but it’s not for me. I couldn’t get into it no matter how hard I tried. The writing was decent, but it just feels like something I’ve read and seen many times before.
