A beautiful modern day love story. Although tricky to get into at first, this story takes you on a ride through a family rivalry and slow burn romance. Every second of this book was fun to read and very obviously written with so much love. There may be a lot of enemies to lovers romance novels, but this one hits very close to home. The authors writing style is unique and well thought out and this book deserves to be up there with the best of the best. A true small author gem. The cultural representation is very accurate and has a wide diversity of amazing characters. Throughout this book you learn to love and relate to the main character, Lari. So simple yet so amazing, this book will leave you with a warm feeling in your heart. I love the cover and the forbidden romance hidden inside. Anyone thinking about picking this book up, please do. Great for teens and young adult.
