I thought the cover was cute and was looking forward to reading the excerpt. Though I really enjoy rom-coms, this one just didn't connect with me. It wasn't the writing style since this author writes like some of the authors I do enjoy. It was probably the storyline as I just didn't care too much for Lari and the start seemed so rocky -- feuding families from long ago that carries into the present.
It would be interesting, however, to find out what happens after that cake disaster.
