The excerpt was too short to get a feel for the romance (especially with not having even really seen the main couple interact yet). But the general vibe was a cutesy rivals-to-lovers romance with goofy misunderstandings and accidents, along with some added emotional weight from the recent loss of the FMC’s grandmother. But frankly the rival bakery families that hate each other seems a bit melodramatic for my taste. It’s probably a fun book as long as you don’t take it too seriously.
