Ending that glimpse with one big, sugary crash was brilliant! I like the first chapter being the present and the second being a flashback. It’s heartbreaking how it starts, but I want to see where Lari’s story goes. Although, I have a hard time believing someone who is 4th generation baker in the family baker can’t actually cook or bake anything.
