Saint X is a beautiful Caribbean island that Claire, her sister Alison, and her parents visit on vacation. Alison goes missing and is later found dead, suspected to be murdered by two men who work at the resort. Though her parents believe Alison was murdered, the men remain free of charge and are released. Claire grows up and is living in New York City, forever changed by the events of her sister’s death. While in New York, she comes face to face with Alison’s killer, who doesn’t recognize who she is, so she takes it upon herself to find out more about this man and convince him to confess his sins to her. While the premise of this book is interesting, I was much more interested in the stories of Clive and Edwin than the stories of Claire and Alison.
