I received an advanced copy of Saint X from Celadon Books so I could share my review with you!

Saint X is a beautiful island vacation spot frequented by the usual characters found on tropical retreats, but under the glowing facade there lurks a dark side. Years earlier, Emily’s family visited Saint X, but left one family member short. Her older sister’s disappearance shattered her parents, and left a permanent defining point in Emily’s life. Though they found her sister’s body, the case went cold when all of the suspects were able to produce alibis the police couldn’t refute. Emily’s life has moved on from the events that took place on Saint X, but when she encounters one of the former suspects in her sister’s case, she can’t help but feel like maybe it isn’t over at all.

Alexis Schaitkin wrote a thriller unlike any I’ve ever read, specifically because of its sunny setting and appeal. The tropical nature of the island is immediately obvious from the books cover, and each word describing Saint X is carefully chosen to be unnervingly peaceful. Schaitkin transported me to the island, with its undertones of darkness that seem invisible because of the intensity of the sunlight.

You can get your copy of Saint X today from Celadon Books!

My Recommendation-
If you enjoy a good thriller or mystery and are wholly tired of the cold winter climate, Saint X is the perfect book to reinvigorate you! I listened to samples of the audiobook as well, which features a full cast who brought the story to life perfectly! As someone who generally doesn’t enjoy thrillers (they stress me out) I quite liked Saint X!
