When I first learned about Saint X, I was so unbelievably excited to read it! The cover is gorgeous, and the synopsis really grabbed my attention. Additionally I saw a lot of positive buzz on Instagram about the title.
When I finally got the book, I couldn't wait to dive in. But as I started reading, I started to realize that the tone of the authors writing didn't work well for me. It felt awkward and strange. I kept reading, hoping that eventually I would adjust and the story would take over... but it never did.
Saint X was marketed as a thriller, but i didn't get that vibe from the book. Where was the twist? The characters didn't really interest me, and overall I felt the story was dull.
