I really tried to enjoy this book. I even tried to the sudio, but it just didn’t work for me. I rarely DNF a book, but this one was a first. The structure and writing of the book just didn’t really fit for me. I also think that this was marketed as something is was not. From what parts I did read and after reading other reviews, this is kore of a deep character study/family drama rather than a thriller. I think that’s a shame because it really effects the way you end up enjoying or not enjoying a book. This one is definitely unique so it will definitely end up working for some people. Just go into this one looking for a slow burn family drama rather than a fast paced twisty thriller because it is not that!!
