The author is an excellent writer. She has a way with words. Other than that, I'm not really a fan of this book for a lot of reasons. There’s a lot of information that doesn't really add to the story. I found myself getting bored and thought the author was trying to take up space to make the book longer. Overall, I found the story pretty depressing. I also tend to like stories that wrap up all the loose ends and I'm not sure the end is really an ending for this book. Not like there will be a sequel but just that the author stopped abruptly. The novel also reminded me a bit of the Natalie Holloway case from years ago that was such a traumatic situation where a teen ended up dying at the hands of a lunatic. I did think the cover was really beautiful and seem to be in the minority since everyone else really likes this book. In the end, I wouldn’t recommend the book.
