When I read the first look I was actually pretty interested in finding out what happened to the sister and according to everything I had read about the book i really wanted to know if the truth would be found out. I was also drawn to this book because the cover and the title.
I dont usually have a preference when it comes to the style of writing that the author uses, but I can say that I usually like when the narration is in different character views. I wasn't really taken into the characters world the way I usually like to be in my reads.
I wouldn't label this as a DNF as I have seen a couple people have said it should be but it also isn't something I would rush to read. I am not a person to give up on books, so I intend to go back and try to read it again with a more open mind.
One thing I really wish the author had done was to focus more on the mystery aspect instead of the problems caused to other peoples lives. And even though I enjoy descriptiveness in stories, I usually like the characters to have names instead of referring to them by what they are wearing or how they looked
