This was marketed all wrong. It centers around the mysterious death of a female teenager but really isn't about solving the murder/death or even dealing with it. The story focuses on how the death impacted her younger sister more than anything. Even if this was marketed as a contemporary finding yourself book, it would have missed as well as I don't feel like the ending was satisfactory as there were loose ends and I just wondered why the reading was anything of importance. If I had gone into the book not looking for more of a thriller I still would have been disappointed. Although many characters shared their thoughts and feelings surrounding the murder and how they were impacted by it, I felt like it was lacking anything real. I just wanted more.
