First things first, this cover is so beautiful and may have been 80% of the reason I picked the book up to read in the first place.
The synopsis for this book sounds so appealing: college girl murdered while on a family vacation to a tropical island (the fictional island of Saint X). Years later, her younger sister befriends one of the suspect of her murder and begins to dig deeper to discover what happened.
However, it is really only interesting in the first 10% while the family is on the island. After, it is wayyyy too long and detailed, not adding anything to the story. I should’ve stopped reading but held out for a redemptive ending. The ending was very underwhelming and ambiguous. Overall, let down.
