I had really high hopes for this one. The cover is stunning and the synopsis sounded liked something that was exactly what I wanted to read. However, the book simply fell flat for me. I normally love non linear timelines but in this case it simply did not work for me. It just made it more confusing. I desperately wanted to find out what happened Alison, but the back story was just to much and the ending left me disappointed. It felt like there was this long winded build up, but the end was simply anticlimactic. I feel like this story had so much potential to be an amazing story, the ideas worked it just wasn't executed well. I also found that there were simply to many storylines to follow that simply were not necessary to tell the story. While you would think knowing what everyone was doing when Alison disappeared would be important, it was overkill.
