Saint X by Alexis Schaitkin was a much anticipated read, and for me personally it really delivered. Here's what I think you should know:
•Saint X is much more deep character study than heart pounding thriller.
•This is a story about obsession, grief, finding a path after loss. The main character was a child when her much older sister died, and there are so many gaps in her knowledge of who Alison was and how she died. Grief and the way we deal with it isn't only something that happens in the immediate moments after tragedy, and this is on showcase in Saint X.
•There is a mystery element to this book, and I found the resolution to this story to be very satisfying. While I'd say that on the whole the pacing is steady, the last 50 or so pages went very quickly and were entirely captivating
