Saint X was a fascinating story about the effects on the family of a 7 year old whose college age sister disappears while on a Caribbean vacation. It was slow moving but compelling. And I enjoyed the insight into the inner thoughts of the victim, the family members and others affected by Alison's disappearance.
Some of the events that happened years later were a bit difficult to believe. But I suspended belief and went with the flow of the story.
I recommend this book be read with an open mind and no prejudgements as to the direction the story is going to take. The face we present to the world and the person we really are sometimes are completely opposite.
I gave this book a solid four stars and am looking forward to reading Alexis Schaitkin's next book.
