"Here's some words of wisdom for you: Don't ever try to out-talk a woman."

Saint X is a fictional island, an atmospheric paradise, where an impending tragedy permanently alters lives. The author, Alexis Schaitkin, sets the scene perfectly. The descriptions of the Caribbean island carry you away, even though you know Alison is about to disappear. What follows is a slowburn unraveling of the lives that Alison's disappearance has changed forever. The lives of her younger sister and one of the suspects being the most affected. Reminiscent of the case of Natalee Holloway,  Saint X is ennthralling, heartbreaking, and intriguing all at once. In part a mystery, in other parts a study on human nature,  Schaitkin has written a book that is impossible to put down.
