This is the debut novel from Alexis. I thought this book had a fantastic cover. A beautiful tropical feeling before I started reading.
This book is told in multiple povs. I thought overall this book was written well. I went in thinking this would have a thriller vibe to it based on the synopsis and I didn't get that. This is a coming of age book that I felt a little disconnected with.
I was sad after reading this book. I felt a few parts of the story could have been written differently to make it a much more enjoyable read. The pace was a little slow for me.
I would recommend this book to anyone wanting a coming of age book. This book personally wasn't for me. I will be interested in seeing the next book this author writes.
