I loved the writing and narration! You have Claire/Emily being the main narrator and at the end of each "chapter" you have a few pages of someone that is related to Alison's death in some way. Later, you get Clive as a narrator as well. I think that made the mystery of the story even more capturing. It was getting someone else's take as well. I thought this would be more of a thriller, but it is not at all. It's definitely a mystery though. I really enjoyed it and thought the ending was pretty good too. I loved getting to know Saint X through Clive's eyes, as a resident, instead of just the vacationers. I thought the characters were really well done and developed well. I felt like I really had a sense of who they really were.
